Danel is originally from Ceres, South Africa and studied Medicine at the University of Stellenbosch. She graduated in 1998 and was a rural general practitioner for 10 years. In 2010 she was appointed acting medical manager of the Riversdale Hospital and Primary Health Care Service in the Western Cape.
She relocated to Gingin, WA, in 2011 with her husband and 2 children and worked full time at the Gingin Medical Centre. She became a Fellow of the RACGP in 2013. In 2015 she accepted a part-time position at Broadway Medical Centre in Ellenbrook and she continued to practice at the Gingin Medical centre until 2020.
Danel enjoys all aspects of family medicine and has a particular interest in Weight loss management (surgical and non-surgical), Women’s health, Child health, Antenatal and postnatal shared care, Chronic disease management, Lifestyle management, Nutrition and Preventative Medicine.

Dr Henson has over 29 years clinical experience, he was born and raised in Kroonstad, South Africa, graduated from the Kroonstad High School and studied at the University of Stellenbosch. This was followed by 3 years of orthopaedic surgery then obstetrics, surgery, and anaesthetics in rural secondary care hospitals. He obtained several post graduate qualifications, most notably the FRACGP. He is proud to be an Australian Citizen. Speaks Afrikaans and English
